REGISTER YOUR HORSE(S) WITH MHF INC.

To register with MHF a horse must already hold current registration with another Miniature Horse association OR you must be able to supply a coy of both parents' registration papers (either with MHF or another association and supply a service certificate from that association).

 

MHF Inc. does not require photos of your horse for registration. Instead our registration forms provide a place for owners to tick relevant boxes to describe their horses colour and markings.

 

Before completing a registration form, please read through the information below to know which age and level of registration is appropriate for your horse.

Which age category does your horse fit into?

​

There are two levels of registration:

​

Junior Registration - from birth up to 48 months of age (4years)

Senior Registration - from 48 months (4 years) and over

​

Which height category does your horse fit into?

​

Please note that horses are measured standing square with the measurement taken at the HIGHEST point of the wither.

​

Miniature Horse - up to 34.5 mature adult height

Small Horse - over 34.5 up to 38.5 mature adult height

Little Horse - over 38.5 and up to 42.5

Use these heights for age as a guide to which height category your horse falls into:-

Miniature Horse

up to 6 months actual age no more than 30.5

over 6 months to 12 months actual age no more than 32.5"

over 12 months to 24 months actual age no more than 33.5"

over 24 months to 36 months actual age no more than 34.5"

over 36 months no more than 34.5"

Small Horse

up to 6 months actual age no more than 34.5

over 6 months to 12 months actual age no more than 36.5"

over 12 months to 24 months actual age no more than 37.5"

over 24 months to 36 months actual age no more than 38.5"

over 36 months no more than 38.5"

up to 6 months actual age no more than 38.5
